BLUFF ROBBERY
INJURED MAN'S STATEMENT (United Press Association) INVEROARGILL, Ist Dec. Arthur Valentine, the victim of the Rluf'f robbery, staled last night that if was possible Uic thief had judder) behind a door within a distance of four feel of whore lie (Valentine) was working. There were no more than half-a-dozen visitors to the office that morning, ;md lie did not hear any noise at tlie time. He was convinced that the person who took the money was conversant with the working of tho office. A large amount of money which was lying in a basket in the open strongroom was not touched. Police inquiries up to last night- had proved fruitless.
