KAAI'S HAWAIIAN TROUBADOURS
The music loving public of Nelson shpuld have an exceptional treat in store during the visit of Kani's Hawaiian Troubadours. The success scored by this company at the Grand Opera House, Wellington, recently, is an indication of the quality of the entertainers. To readers of South Seas stories will come vividly the atmosphere of those islands as the languid and soft voiced songs and chants of these people unfold to the listener the charm of living amongst that unique race. Owing to forward bookings the season is limited to two nights only— Tuesday, 6th, and 7th December. Hawaiian" music has a simplicity which is well nigh irresistible and has recently had a vogue; or moro rightly, come into its own. There is none of the rough and tumble dash and breathless haste of the popular American rag; it is music pure'and unadulterated, soft and mellow, yet strong and passionate. There is also_ the added charm of the Hawaiian voices and in-, struments, without which it cannot be said to be complete. Mr Kaai and his Troubadours bring "A Night in Honolulu" to New Zealand, opening amidst beautiful paliii trees, tropical flowers, and moonlit shimmering Honolulu beach and the whole theatre will be transformed into a beautiful island setting of the Sunny Smith. The- box plans will bo open a t Begg ;s.
