Defalcations amounting to £IOOO were alleged l in tiie Magistrate's Court when an employee in the Customs Department in Auckland was charged with stealing £lO 12s Bd,. the .property of the. department. Accused is married, with two children. He has been suspended from employment. Accused was remanded, and an application for suppression of the i,name granted. Rail in £3OO was allowed.
