“THE ARCADIANS”
NELSON SEASON CONCLUDED
Last night’s performance of “The Arcadians” in the Theatre Boyal closed the season here of one of the most successful productions that the Nelson Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society has carried out. Each additional appearance before the footlights has added still more to the ease of the performers. Under the able.control of the producer, Mr Theodore Trezise, the Nelson amateurs have presented Nelson with four nights of very fine entertainment-. At the conclusion of the performance Dr. Stoney Johnston, president of the Society, addressed the-audience, thanking them for the support given the Society’s efforts and paying a tribute to all those who had helped directly and indirectly towards the success of the show. , . ~ To-morrow the whole company ( visits Blenheim, where “The Arcadians will he staged for one night only.
