LABOUR AGITATORS
CAUSE TROUBLE AT SHANGHAI

(Received 2nd Dec., 12.45 p.m.) SHANGHAI, Ist Dec. Labour agitators paralysed the International Settlement tramways, using firearms to intimidate the employees, several of whom were injured. A foreign woman was wounded, two agitators killed, and two police wounded. Spread of the trouble is anticipated. All foreign warships were dressed today in honour of the wedding of General Chiang Kai-shek, who married May Ling Soong, sister-in-law of Madame Sun Ya,t Sen. A strong body of guards was present to prevent the possibility of, assassination.
