BAINHAM NOTES
(From Our Own Correspondent)
A very successful dance was held on Friday night in aid of the school funds, visitors from Collingwood and Rockville turning out in good numbers. Music was supplied by Mr Ell. Walden, the schoolmaster, Mr H. V. Taylor, and extras hv Mrs B. Millar. A delicious supper, was provided by Mr E, Stallard, and was much appreciated. The school funds will benefit by a goodly sum. Next week a concert will be given by the school children before breaking up for the Christmas holidays, and if as good as the last given by the children should be well attended.
Weather is leaving much to bn. desired the last few months, continuous winds checking the. growth of feed. Hay e-ops are consequently on the backward side. Some sheep owners have shorn their sheep, but the unsettled weather has prevented shearing from becominggeneral. On Monday morning quite a heavy fall of snow was on'the hills. We have had plenty oV l-ain, but wind day after day dries if' up again very quickly.
