The Auckland'Trotting Club has'decided to instal .an electric totalisator and a new members' stand at Alexandra Park, Epsom, the total cost not to exceed £40,000. A special committee consisting of Messrs J. Rowe, C. J. Schnauer, T. Ruxtori and the' Club's art architect Mr N. Wade was set up to make an inspection of such totalisators now in use in the North Island. It is expected that these improvements will be available for the Cup meeting in 1928. INQUIRY INTO TAKAPUNA FATALITY AUCKLAND, TTiis Day. The Takapuna Jockey Club's judicial committee held an enquiry into the death of the jockey R. 11. Reilly, who was killed as the result of an accident during, the running of the Rakino Handicap. After the evidence of Bryce (rider of Look Out) and several others who were near the scene of the accident, the judicial committee passed a unanimous opinion that the happening was entirely of an accidental nature, no blame being attached to any rider'in the race.
