At the Welsh Rugby Union's dinner to the Waratahs, the president, Mr Horace Lyne said : "You have taken it out of us' more than any other colonial side, and your football was played in the spirit of our great public schools." Shaw responded. He suggested that a team visit Australia in 1930. Mr Lyne said said that they would do all in their power to influence the International Board. LLANELLY BEATEN BY 10 POINTS (Received 30th November, 11.15 a.m.) LONDON, 29th November. The Waratahs defeated Llanelly by 24 points to 14. After gaining a. lead of six points after half an hour the Waratahs failed to hold Llanelly and were, three points behind at half time On resumption Llanelly went further ahead, scoring a try and converting twice in rapid succession. The Waratahs then made a break in the Llanelly defence, scoring 18 points in a wonderful final rallv.
