ANNUAL ROSE SHOW

The annual rose show held in connection with tho Presbyterian Church was held in the Oddfellows Hall and proved an unqualified success, the exhibits in all classes being superior to those of other years. In the afternoon the produce stalls were well patronised, the funds benefiting to a considerable extent. In tho evening the show was continued, the Takaka. orchestra was in attendance and rendered a programme which was greatly appreciated by all. Mr L. M. Estcourt, of Nelson, who acted as judge, gavo a very interesting talk to the local lose growers on "The Culture of the Rose," which should prove beneficial to exhibitors in future shows.
