Never at any time did he look like being beaten, winning practically every round.
McKNIGHT-AUSTIN CONTEST
SYDNEY, Bth June
McKnight's fight with Austin at Bris-. bane was a, ding doing go from start to finish. . .
Newspapers describe McKnighfc As the toughest fighter seen in Brisbane for many years. Austin is noted as a tern-* fie puncher, and time and again he land-.-ed hard blows to the point or body only to find McKnight boxing in and asking' l for more. In view of McKnight's,in-.-*
experience, his impulsiveness would have brought disaster had he been unable to take heavy punishment, because Austin would smother until the New Zealander exhausted himself and then a counter offensive. Austin brought more strategy to hear, and against a man with ah ordinary jaw or midriff would have been successful.
