NOT GRAVE
SITUATION IN BALKANS
BRITISH VIEW
OF SERBO-ALBANIAN TROUBLE
(By Electric Telegraph-Copyright) (Australian & N.Z. Cable Association)
LONDON. 3th June. There is no tendency in British circles to take a grave view of the SerboAlbania trouble. Confidence is felt that counsels of moderation will prevail. It is noted that while Jugo-Slavia has withdrawn the Charge d'Affaires from Tirana, the Albanian Minister remains at Belgrade; therefore, there is as yet no real rupture. The Italian press vigorously denies the imputations from Belgrade that Italy is in any way responsible. On the contrary, the Belgrade press is cited as indicating that Jugo-Slavia prepared the rupture for the purpose of questioning the Tirana treaty before the League of Nations.
"AN INSIGNIFICANT QUARREL"
ROME, Bth June,
The press emphasises that Signor Mussolini is too busy with the internal' reconstruction' of the country to' be drawn into an"insignificant'quarrel.
