Mr F. I. Ledger look his scat for the first time yesterday since his election tn tlie Harbour Board. The Chairman (Mr H. R. Duncan) welcomed the new member who, responding, said that he felt it an honour to join the ranlcs of so admirably run a local bodv.
The Hataitai Bowling Club .presented a set of pipes to Mr K E. Stonebank, who is taking up his residence in Nelson. Mr Fielding said the departing member had filled the office of president, and had earned the affection of every member. Mr Stonebanks thanked the members for their gift.
