MELBOURNE AIR FATALITY
VERDICT OF ACCIDENTAL DEATH

.MELBOURNE, 19th May. At the inquest into the air smash evidence showed that the machines were giving a salute to the Duke and Duchess of York by dipping, when one touched the other. Both aeroplanes then crashed, i Both machines were trustworthy, having been thoroughly; inspected on the morning of the flight. An Air Force officer stated that since the tragedy arrangements had been completed for the equipment of every machine with parachutes. A verdict of accidental death was returned, the Coroner making no comment.
