BITTEN BY A SNAKE
A DEMONSTRATOR'S DEATH

(Received 20th M&v, 11.46 a.m.) ADELAIDE, This Day. Four months ago Mr C. J. French came from Smith Africa to act as curator at Snake Park, established by the City Council in order to afford knowledge of bow best to treat snake bites. The place contained specimens of all sorts of venemous and non-venem-ous reptiles. Mr French, who is a recognised authority on snakes, was bitten by a large black snake on Wednesdxy while giving a demonstration before children, and died yesterday as a result of the bite.
