BURNED TO DEATH

NAPIER, This Day. As a result of the whare in which he lived catching fire last night, William Smith, an old age pensioner, was burned to death at Olive late last night. Ned Smith, a brother, who slept in the same whare, sustained burns. He was taken to the hospital and is progressing satisfactorily. The latter attempted unsuccessfully to rescue his brother.
