NEW YORK, 7th May

A Kansas City message; spates that delegates, including Australians, adopted a Resolution last night that “as soon as possible the; wheat producers of the chief exporting countries of the world should look toward the consolidation of their co-operative, programme. This must, he preceded by Ihe thorough organisation of ihe producers of wheat in each country on a permanent basis. Such organisation, must control a substantial percentage of wheat grown in these countries. When these conditions are met; then international co-ordination should follow to give the grower the same control of marketing his crop already possessed by other industries and materially assist in putting agriculture in its rightfupl place among the other industries of the world.”

The closing session of the Kansas City conference last night decided to establish a permanent international bureau of cooperative marketing to act as a clearing house for statistical information and the development of plans, fn recommend* ing this action Mr George Robertson, secretary of the Saskatchewan pool, said he believed the time was not ripe for the formation of an international pool. ‘We must be careful this international development is not rushed faster than the wheat growers of the world are prepared to endorse it,” lie said. He added that lie did not fear Russia again becoming a great producer and overburdening the market.
