WELLINGTON DEFEATS CANTER BURY BY 355 RUNS

Wellington's innings- was finished off for 308, and Canterbury entered on the hopeless task of obtaining 690 to win. They made a better start, and two good partnerships between Pago and Oliiver and Sandman and Boon, with a good stand bv the tail-end men, carried the total t0'354. Canterbury thus lost by 355 runs.
