TWO MEN HAVE NARROW ESCAPE

AUCKLAND, This Day. A. Simpson and J. Boyd had a narrow escape from drowning in the Tamaki River, off Point England, when their boat capsized and sank. B. Bond and D. Ireland, who were fishing half a mile away rowed hard to the rescue of the exhausted men, the former jumping in fully clothed and dragging both to the rescuers' boat.
