“RECOGNITION OF PRESS”
In commenting on the New Year Honours, the Wellington “Post” says: — “The Order bestowed upon Mr 0. W. Earle will be welcomed throughout New Zealand, not only as a well-merited personal distinction, hut ns a recognition of the service of the Press. The newspaper proprietors and journalists have shown their high opinion of Mr Earle by electing him to tlie offices where his knowledge and judgment would he of greatest service to them. Thov will approve without question this other recognition of his services.”
