The Jockey Club races at Randwick were run in rain and the tracks, were heavy. Results:—
Summer Cup : Strongbow, 8.5, 1; Firefly, 6.7, 2 ; Bacchab, 7.9, 3. Fifteen started. The winner led into the straight, and in a- fine finish won by a length. Time 2.50 j.
December Stakes: Greenlirie 8.7, 1; Black Duchess, 8.5, 2; Beckwith, 9.3, 3. Six started. Won by threequarters of a length. Time 1.3. Jockey Club Handicap: North Logan, 8.3, 1; Dion, 7.0, 2; Eaton Boy, 5.3, 3. Ten started. A great finish. Won by a neck. Time 1.555.
CAULFIELD RESULTS
MELBOURNE, 27th Dec
For tlie Caulfield races the weather was fine and the going good. Results:— Malvern Handicap: Knutua, 9.1, 1; Smoke Bomb, 9.8, 2; Palelight, 8.13, 3. Fifteen started. Won by a length. Time 1.271. Ilcipetoun Handicap: Comus, 8.11, 1; Tookarby, 9.0, 2; Spearer, 9.0, 3. Thirteen started. The winner led all tlie wav and won easily. Time 2.21.
WEST AUSTRALIAN DERBY
(Received 28th Dec., 10.55 a.in.) PERTH, This Day. West Australian Derby: Maple, 8.5 1; Carus, 8.10, 2; Kongoni, 8.10, 3, Seven starters. Won by three lengths, Time 2.39.
