WOMEN’S CLUB
OPENING THIS AFTERNOON
The Nelson Women’s Club is to be officially opened at 3.45 this afternoon by the president, Mrs S. A. Gibbs.
Tiie formation of such a club in Nelson is a social event of considerable, importance. Enthusiastic, support lias been forthcoming, and the Club’s sound financial position has enabled it to provide apartments appointed in a. most up-10. date and tasteful manner. The facilities and conveniences thus afforded to members, especially those from outlying districts, are very great. At the conclusion of the official opening an “at home” for members only will be held. The evening will be occupied in a similar manner, when members will have an opportunity of bringing guests to view the new establishment.
As is proved by the activities of similar organisations elsewhere the new Nelson Women’s Club will be a distinct asset.
