Results:— Hurdles Handicap, of 225 sovs; one mile and a quarter.—7 Coastguard, 9.9, 1; 2 Guncase, 9.10, 2; 1 Wharncliffe, 11.9, 3 Scratched: Dubious, Axle. Won by four lengths; two lengths between second and third. Time 3.28 3-5. Maungatua Handicap, of 225 sovs; seven furlongs: 1 High Gear, 8.2, 1; 4 Royal Game, 8.6, 2; Margaret Birney, 7.10, 3. Scratched: Cornstalk, Sir Rov, Battle Colours, Prompter. Won by a head; two lengths between second and third. Time 1.30.
McLean Stakes, of 750 sovs; special weights: five furlongs: 6 Some Rose 1; 3 Ark Royal 2; 2 Solgate 3. Scratched: Tripawav. Won by half a- length. Head between second and third. Time 1.5 1-5.
Mosgiel Handicap, of 400 sovs; one mile and a quarter.—4 Rivalry. 7.6, 1; I Full Swing, 8.1, 2; 2 Ravenna,, 9.1, 3. All started. Won by a long neck. I I lire© lengths between second and third. Time 2.12 4-5.
