Arising out of a dispute over the alleged employment of boy labour on machine drills, the engineers of Dobson, Worinald and Company have struck. Pickets posted outside the works reported lo the Labour Council's disputes committee that Maltese and Greeks had been engaged by the management, contending that- tins was done for the purpose of In caking Ihe .strike. The rest of tin.' union members employed by the firm have been withdrawn.
The disputes committee proposes to appoint an organiser who is capable of speaking to foreigners in their own language to represent the position to them.
