RIWAKA
CONCERT In the Oddfellows' Hall. Riwaka, on Wednesday evening, a very successful concert, was held in aid of the Presbyterian Church funds. A varied programme of excellent qualify vras much enjoyed by an appreciative audience. Messrs Trevena, Mather, Monehara and Abraham, Mrs J. Boyce and the Misses Rowling, Criehton and Thompson contributed songs; Miss Aujstin, violin solos; Miss M. Manner, Highland dance; Mr Geo. Budden, monologue; Mr A. Hunt and Miss Mitchell Brown, pianoforte; Mrs Tilson and Mr Wort, duets; Messrs Atua, Morgan and Abraham, instrumental music. Selections were also given by the choir, while accompaniments were played by Mrs Ovens. Misses Mitchell-Brown, Criehton, Budden. Thompson and Mr Brough. A delightful supper was provided by (ho ladies' committee of (he Presbyterian Church, Riwaka. Rev. E. T. King thanked all those who had given their services and helped so capably lo make the. concert a success. In humorous vein he. asked the audience to remember that though fhe Scotch folks were reputed to want a lot for their money, they also gave, generously, as this occasion testified. The singing of the National Anthem terminated the evening.
