NEW THEATRE FOR MOTUEKA

The ltiiiin building will be ]<)oft by <>2fl, with a smaller hall (i2t't by "(lift, also tea rooms, marble bar and shops. This theatre will be one of the best equipped in the. Nelson province, with stage accommodation to allow tin? best companies to visit the district. The sealing accommodation of Urn theatre will be approximately 10(10. The smaller hall will be useful for private parlies, etc. Sufficient capital has been subscribed to guarantee flotation. Plans have been drawn, and contracts for film supply signed. Later, it is the intention to allow the public to subscribe shares on the ground floor. It is not intended by the promoters to take any free shares for promotion. The large population of Motueka and surrounding districts should ensure a vcrv profitable investment, Mr .1. A. Wallace, of Motueka, and Mr 10. Norden. of Nelson, were the prime movers. Mr Norden is. at present. a director or owner of twelve theatres and halls, so that lite necessary experience to make the venture a sure success has been secured.' 1
