A Wellington Press Association telegram reports the death of Mr Francis Siiley, a well-known Wellington citizen, aged 91. He .was one time Mayor of .Melrose. He was horn in Perth and came to Sydney. He was engaged as managing clerk to Bethune and Hunter, then the most prominent merchants in Wellington. Afterwards Mr Sidey engaged in the auctioneering business for a number of years. He was interested in militia work and was one of the oldest, members of the Masonic craft in New Zealand^ —Press Association.

A Orovmouth Press Assocation telegram reports the death of Mr Adam Blair, aged 75, the oldest- member of the Grey County Council. He was a prominent sawmiller, and also the oldest member of the Grevmouth Jockey Club. He arrived on the Coast m 1860.

The death occurred at Palmerston North last evening of Charles A. M. llirtzell, a veteran of the Maori wars, and a survivor of the engagement at Te Ngutu o te Manu, in which Yon Tompskv was killed. Deceased had been curator at the museum for many years. —Press Association.
