LOS ANGELES, July 14
Kenneth Ormiston, formerly tho radio operator at the Angelas Temple, is today more,./ban ever the central figure- in connection with the mystery of Airs Aini'oo McPherson's disappearance and reappearance, which the grand jury is attempting to solve. Detectives have been searching for Ormiston for ten days, and if is possible that- the inquiry will lie adjourned until lie is found. ‘The district attorney, Mr Asa Keyes, announced fo-dav that three days after the reported kidnapping, Mrs Kennedy, mother of Airs McPherson, received a telegram from Oakland, reading: “Daughter O.K. Don’t worry. Communication proven. Am signing for J.H.A., whom 1 believe O.K. Details in mail. This telegram was signed by “Dr Burton.”
Ormiston, it- is asserted, was in Oak-' land at the. time, and handwriting experts declare that the original telegram is in liis handwriting.
