TRIAL GAME AT AUCKLAND (Unite I Proßß Association.) AUCKLAND, This Day. With the hear approach of the, departure of the League team to- visit England, much interest was taken in the trial game, Auckland v. South Auckland at Carlaw Park. The idea was to find players to represent tlie North Island against the South Island on .Saturday next in the second League fixture ever played in the Dominion. The third game of a series of eliminating trials lakes place on 7th July, when the chosen of Auckland will be pitted against a combined team and the final match will he played at Carlaw Park on Saturday, 10th July, subsequent to which (he team lo tour Britain will be announced. Auckland was much tod strong for tho opposition and in the first spell put on o 3 to 3. The South brightened up a little in the second half, lmt the final total was 49 to 15 against, them. Delgrosso, with tries, and Duffy with goal kicking, were very prominent on the winning side.
