Aressrs Dalgety and Coy., Ltd., report having received the following cablegram from their London house under date of the 24th inst.: —
Lamb: New Zealand prime crossbred iamb, Canterbury, heavy 9jd, light 9£d ; ‘North Island heavy 9d, light 91,d. Alarket weak, transactions small. Demand runs principally on light weights. Mutton: New Zealand prime "crossbred mutton, Canterbury heavy s£d, light North Island heavy 4jj-d, light 6£d. Alarket quiet. Demand runs principally on light, weights. Beef; New Zealand prime ox beef, hinds sd, fores 4d. Alarket fair. Demand has been checked by increase I prices asked. Australian frozen meat: Good average quality crossbred lamb, light dpi. heavy Tjjd. Alarket quiet. Demand steady Good average quality crossbred mutto'i, light 4jd, heavy not quoted. Market steady. Demand fair. The following is a copy ow a cable received by the N.Z. Farmers’ Co-op. Association of Canterbury, Hardy-st.: ~“Mfff£Bt, continues slow with Continental butter weak. N.Z. 172 s to 1745; Australian 1725. “Cheese slow. N.Z. 935.
“Lambs, marked weakness on account of strike. Alutton, light weights firm; others neglected.”

The New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board lias received the following cable from its London office dated 25th June, 1926, advising Smithfield delivered prices at that date as follows: New Zealand wethers and maidens: Canterbury quality, selected brands, 56/ under 6Ad, 57/64 6d, 65/72 s|d; other brands, 56/under 6jd, 57/64 s|d, 65/72 sd._
New Zealand ewes: 64/under 4^d. New Zealand lamb: Canterbury quality. 36/under lOd, 37/42 9gd, 43/50 9£d, seconds 9£d; selected brands, 36/iiiider 9|d, 37/42 9J.fl; other brands, Ist quality 42/under 9gd, seconds 9gd. New Zealand beef: Ox fores 4d, hinds s?d. Argentine chilled beef: Ox fores 4|d, hinds 7gd. Argentine frozen beef: Ox fores 4£d, hinds 6id. Frozen pork: 80/1201bs 10£d; 120/180 lbs 101-d.. Frozen veal scl.
Lamb: Smithfield consumption good, but owing to coal strike provincial demand is only poor. Owing to .selling pressure market is easier. Mutton: Market is steady with better enquiry. New Zealand beef: Stocks light; nominal prices. . •
