TRIBUTES: IN PARLIAMENT

, WELLINGTON, June 18. Warm tributes were passed in the House of Representatives to-day to the memory of the late Mr John Graham, a former M.P. for Nelson, who died recently. , . , , ~ln moving a resolution of condolence with the relatives of the late Mr 'Graham, Mr 'Coates said that Mr Graham was a man who was a staunch friend and a zealous and unremitting worker. An incisive and clear speaker, he held his seat in. Parliament for six Parliaments' and was a politician of high standing.. • \ Mr Holland said that Mr Graham was a born fighter wlio had a long record and was one of the men who formed a connecting link with the past. His death was to be regretted. - Mr G. W. Forbes (Huruhui), v.’no sat with Mr Graham; stated that he was a man keenly interested in land settle'-' ment, and a consistent champion for ’he rights Of the; settlers of Nelson. Mr H.
