MADRID, June 9 "If her position is not recognised Spain will cease membership on the League, but hopefully trusts the great Powers will admit her among their full equity," declared Primp De Rivera in an interview with the British Uni'od Press. A DELEGATE ASSAULTED GENEVA, June 10. Belhlen, Hungarian Premier, was the victim of an assault by a Hungarian who burst into the room where the League holds its sessions and sharply slapped Bethlen's face, shouting "that is on behalf of the Hungarian nation." The Italian delegate rescued Bethlen from his assailant. The latter was arrested. He is named Dejusth, and he is secretary of the Hungarian republic party. He obtained a ticket of admission as a journalist, and declared when arrested that he wanted to brand a criminal. GENEVA, June 10. At the League Council meeting the Spanish representative announced that Spain would ratify the amendment to Article Four of the Covenant of the League relating to re-election and rotation of non-permanent members of the Council. Sir Austen Chamberlain congratulated the Spanish Government and said th<> announcement would be receivild with great satisfaction and appreciation. Spain's action completes the required ratifications and ' the amendment thus becomes operative. The Brazilian delegate lodged Brazil's resignation from the Council of the League. This does not imply that Brazil ceases to be a- member of the League. Tine Spanish delegates declared that Spain will not -participate in any Council elections until she obtains a permanent seat.
