ORGAN RECITAL
BY MR If. K. ('LAUGHTON. L.T.C.L. E.tI.C.M. Theie was a very appreciative audi(lice at the School of .Music last night, when Mr If. S. Clamjliton. 1., 1.l .1... K.G.C.M.. gave a recital cn the Caw tin-on organ. The programme was well ranged and contained some seasonal music. Mr Clslighten was in line form and did full justice to a delightful pro gramme, containing as il did. irom the "Processional March lo Calvary with its pathos and sorrow to the triumphant strain of Handel's great Hallelujah thorns. During the evening .Mrs Cla tight on. A.T.C.L.. rang "Hush my little one" with such feeling and appeal she had to return and again gave great pleasure with ".Imie. and a warm rweel rain." Mr Claughton's items were: "Chant Soiennel." (\ o.inrinski ; (a) "J’reltlde" ; (li) "Pnlude in A Miner" (.1. S. Bach) : "Suite C.ct hi<|Ue" (Roelhiiami) ; ( linralc, Meliuet. Prion- a Notre Dame. "Capriceio" (Ada Sonata) (Eumagillh) ; "Processional March to Calvaiy" (Crucifixion) (Stainer); "Sea Pieces" (McDowell) ; Nautilus T.ied. So 11 o! 11 iis from "The Messiah (Handel).
