HARBOUR WORKS
LAST YEAR'S UNDERTAKINGS year was a comparatively quiet one so far as harbour works are concerned, hut certain changes and ' improvements were effected, in the course of his annual report presented to yesterday afternoon's meeting of the Nelson Harbour Board, the Harbourmaster (Captain Collins »a-'d Work carried out during the year is as follows: Erecting new leading beacons and installing the electricity for navigation purposes on the Boulder Bank; dismantling and clearing away the old boat landing opposite the Anchor Foundry; carrying out maintenance work on and around the wharves, also roadway approaches; extending the wharfage and berthage accommodation at Mapua, also erecting and improving the lending beacons in the upper harbour.
