Figgis was a witness at tin* inquest last week on the liish .lane-' teacher. Rita Xorlh. who died in the .Middlesex Hospital. He said lie had known the deceased .girl tor two \ ears. She went to*a nursing home, declaring that she woiihl he well in <a few days, when they could he married. Figgis took a room in Rloomslmry yesteniav, and was found this morning dead'iii hed. with ;t gas jet- fully turned on. In the Free State some time ago a sensation was caused by the death <>f his Wife, who engaged a taxieab. drove to the Wicklow .Mountains, where she dismissed the driven - and then shot herself.
