Lilian Harrison, the Argentine swim-' mer who twice attempted to swim tile Channel in 1924, entered the water at Cape Gristle/, and swam for nine ho?;m----an I readied eight miles from Dover. She abandoned the swim owing to congestion, due to the coldness of the water.
