VALEDICTORY
On Tuesday evening Mr R. M. Green, of the .Motueka Post Office, was given a farewell tea at Powers' Hotel; and was the recipient of a silver shaving cup in token of the high esteem in which lie lias always been held. Mr Green was also farewelled by many friends at. a dance last Thursday in Goodman’s Hall, where a most enjoyable evening was spent. Mr K. W. Noake (postmaster), on behalf of the members of the Post Office staff, presented Mr Green with a Swan fountain pen. and spoke in eulogistic terms of Mr Green s personality and work and wished him every success in his new surroundings. Mr Gren has been on the Post Office staff as cadet for ah - ut three years, and left Motueka on Wednesday to take up duties in Urenui.
