BRIGHTWATER BRIDGE
TO BE OPEN FROM 6 A.M TO MIDNIGHT
It will be remembered that at the last meeting of the Waimea County Council if, was decided that caretaker on the Brigbtwater Bridge would be provided from 5 p.m. to midnight, in addition to 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., provided a contribution of £SO were made towards the cost. In the interests of motorists and the general public the Nelson Automobile .Association has agreed to find £1 it week to the end of the financial year 51st March next. The Country is also arranging to open the bridge from 6 a.m. instead of 8 a.m.
This will prove a great convenience to the community generally. The new hours will come into operatin n to-morrow.
