NELSON RUGBY UNION A meeting of the Management Com-mittee-was-held in the' Union Rooms on Monday evening. Present: Messrs Boon (chair), Rovire, Blincoe, Shain, Johnson, (Voucher, Chapman, and secretary. Mr Ingram was excusd. The Mo'kohinui Football Club wrote,

asking for a gam e on Ist August, and it was decided that tne secretary write asking what.grade they played, etc. '.The Nelson Football Club wrote, declining to play, a friendly • match with Rivals on Saturday next-. Messrs Edwards and Logan, the secretary and president of the Citizens’ Committee.of the Seddon Shield fund, attended the meeting by request, and after some discussion, decided to do their best to raise funds in connection with

the training of . a teanu, the committee promising that wherever the Shield was, they wqhld send a team after it. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to Messrs Logan and Edwards. The College thirds were given permission to play Blenheim on 25th July, and if the school ground was unplayable they could have the use of the Bark. There will be no fixtures at the Park on (he 25th July (Australian Hockey team’s visit). It was decided that alf teams bring a

football to the ground, so that when a ball went over the fence there will be no delay in the game. Several accounts were passed for payment.
