MONTHLY MEETING The monthly meeting of the Mahana Fruitgrowers’ Association, Ltd., was hold at Mahana, Mr G. Stirling presiding.
Arising out of the minutes Mr Ibbotsen moved a vote of appreciation to the secretary for the successful nuimiei in which lie carried out the arrangements for the tour of orchards held since last meeting. This was carried unanimously.
The secretary brought forward the question of arranging for the delivery from Nelson of the Canadian cases due to arrive in October.
Mr Jackson was strongly in favour of the whole Mapua shipment being handl. ed by Mr BlaniUic, wharfinger at Mapua, if his services were available. All Jackson said that in the delivery of the cases last season from the Nelson wharf to the orchard sheds, Mr Blanche had given perfect service, and he moved that the secretary write the Federation recommending that- the arrangements made for the delivery of Canadian cases to Mapua last season be repeated ii possible. This was carried unanimously.
