NELSON POULTRY SHOW
GOOD ENTRIES RECEIVED Good entries have been received for the annual show in connection with tne Nelson Poultry Assodation to be opened on Thursday, and extending over the two following days. The total entries received are 740. and include exhibits from Hastings. Palmerston North. Blenheim, Auckland, Tauranga. .Christchurch, Wellington and Westport. In conjunction with the show will also be held the club show of the New Zealand Game Uub, for which 159 entries have been received. The New Zealand championships, to he decided are O.E. Game, American Leghorn, Dragoon Pigeons, Modern Game Bantams, Yorkshire Canaries and Persian female cat. All classes have filled well, particularly American White Leghorn; while among other classes Anemias and Barred Rocks are a iso prominent. For the first occasion fcTr many years there will he an exhibit of Black Peking Bantams; while the Sussex variety of poultry—a new breed coming into favour in New Zealand, and a very strong class in England—will be shown for the first time. Among the Utility Classics Black Orpingtons and White Leghorns have filled well.
