BEQUEATHED A FORTUNE

Alexander Ferguson, aged 32, received a cable from bis relatives in Ayrshire, Scotland, that a bachelor uncle in Australia, Donald Ferguson, had bequeathed him 50,000 dollars conditional on bis marrying. Alexander was seriously wounded in the war, and came In Canada in April. lie had no friends and little money. He walked from place to place, unsuccesfully seeking employment, until the nows came. He declares he will settle in Canada and take time to choose a wife.
