| BEAUTIFYING THE GROUNDS ! Speaking at, the meeting of the Nelson A. and P. Association at Richmond on Saturday evening, the President (Air E. Smallhone). referred to the efforts made to beautify the Association's property, Richmond Park. The Association was indebted to Mr James Hunt for the interest he had taken in the matter and to Air Percy Adams for the gift, of trees. On behalf of the Association he also thanked those members who had attended at the Park that af- ■ ternoon and planted the trees. He moved that Mr Percy Adams be written to thanking him for his gift. The motion was seconded by Mr \V. 11. May and carried with applause. The President hoped better success would lie met with this year than ori a ! former occasion, when all the trees died. | The secretary (Mr W. 1). llnrkness): I They were planted rather late. | Mr \V. 11. May asked if any one had : arty Ngaio trees to present to the Aesoeiation. These would grow near the sea- shore and would beautify the lower ends of the grounds. If none were available locally he would undertake to secure some. Mr May was thanked for his offer. In some further remarks Mr May said wonderful results could be secured by systematic tree planting at- the Park.
