A.S.R.S. RESOLUTION

(United Press Association.) DUNEDIN, This Day. A meeting of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants resolved unanimously .“That this meeting of the A. S.R.S., desires to draw the attention of tlffe Government to the increasing number of shunting accidents' on he railways .We believe these accidents are largely due to bad lighting and speeding up of the services, together with increased traffic, thus causing congestion in different yards, wliien'cannot longer with safety to shunters accommodate the rolling stock. A public commission of inquiry in our opinion should he held.into the conditions under which hunters are working.”
