BADLY BEATEN AT HOKITIKA -A STRENUOUS DAY” (By Telegraph.—Special to The Mail.) HOKITIKA, This Day. The Nelson bowlers had a strenuous day yesterday. Hokitika- was reached at 2..'10 after a six hours run from the Glacier. The weather was beautifully line.
The first game was played against the local team, two full rinks and one pairs. The green was true but. very heavy after live inches of rjiin on Wednesday. Hokitika won all the games. The full rink games were fairly even but tiie pairs went down badly. The aggregate scores were 70 to 4i>. The party left for Greymouth this morning and play the local club this afternoon. The weather is line.
