PROSECUTION OF THE ECLAIR
GOVERNMENT ACTION DEFENDED

PARIS, Dec. 30.
In the Chamber, in answer to an interpellation regarding the prosecution of the Eclair, tho Minister for Justice, defending the Government’s action, declared that the only restrictions on the liberty of the Press applied to secret documents concerning the external safety of the State. The Government would have full light thrown on the affair, and whoever was responsible for the leakage would be struck down, however highly placed. The debate was. adjourned.
