FRUIT CONTROL BILL
OTAGO OPPOSITION
(United Press Association.)
DUNEDIN, This Day. Strong exception to the passing of the Fruit Control Bill Was made by a deputation of the Otago Provincial Fruitgrowers’ Council to the Expansion league. The greatest objection is to-representation—that of Nelson two members, and the rest of the Dominion three. The Bill was characterised as a, .Government, sanctioned trust. A speaker said it would : tie them hand and foot- to the board, on which they shared one representative /with Cantrbury. It was decided tot wire the Minister, Mr Massey, and every member of Otago ,and, Southlan<3, declaring unalterable oppositjpn to the Bill.
