ARREST (il- JUTJ'iffUU'i 1 1 I THE FAMOUS BOXER (By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (Reuter's Telegrams./ SAN FRANCISCO, August 13. A telegram from Los Angeles says Norman Selby, known in the prize ring where he was famous years ago as Kid 'McCoy, was arrested, charged on suspicion' of murder, following the finding of Mrs Theresa Moors, with whom he is said to have been living, shot dead. Later McCoy attempted to rob a grocery, but was foiled by a, bystander who was shot in a scuffle.

The police are searching for Albert Moors, a wealthy antique dealer, the divorced husband of the dead woman, who was at- first reported killed by McCoy arid later said to have been wounded.'

Later McCoy told the police the woman committed suicide. The evidence tends In corroborate this statement. Moors has been found alive and detained.

A WILD CHASE EXTRAORDINARY SCENE AT A SHOP FIFTEEN PEOPLE HELD UP BY M'COY (Sun Cable.) NEW YORK, August 14. The police- at Los Angeles had a wild chase for McCoy through crowded streets. The police commandeered automobiles and finally ran him down. He submitted quietly. McCoy figured in a recent divorce 'hewed! Mrs Moors and her husband. In the settlement the husband gave the wife £IOO,OOO, including a large antique shop. Mrs Moers told the court she intended to marry McCoy. The latter appears temporarily crazy. He evidently killed Mrs Moers in daylight .in the apartment where lie was living with her. He then tried to find Moers, evidently intending to murder him. Going to the antique shop lie failed to find Moers, but- found William Ross, a millionaire merchant, and three other people. These lie lined up against (he wall with threats of death. Ordering them to remove their clothing he robbed them of all money and jewellery. As fast as customers entered the shop he robbed them and they joined the party standing against, the wall. Occasionally McCoy approached and smashed some man with his list, knocking out his teeth. In an hour McCoy had fifteen more or less fainting people standing against (he wall, fearful of death. Suddenly Ross made a break for the door, but McCoy shot him on the sidewalk. A groat crowd gathered, and McCoy fled, shooting until his gun was emptied.

Ross will probably recover. Two others were seriously wounded. McCoy is aged fifty and has been married nine times.
