PROGRESS LEAGUE'S POLICY
BUSINESS, NOT ENTERTAINMENT
4_t yesterday afternoon’s meeting of the Nelson Progress League, a letter was received from the Hockey Association. seeking assistance in the entertainment of the visiting hockey girls, lire request-neferred to a motor drive. A It was explained that, the Nelson Automobile Association had offered to assist in this direction. Several mcmibprs at the League are also members of the Automobile Association, and in the latter capacity were arranging for the drive. But they made it perfectly clear that as members of tin; Progress League, their efforts would be confined to business and not entertainment. It was felt that this definite declaration of policy should be made without delay, so that the public would early understand just where they stood.
