WOMAN’S FATAL MISTAKE
“I made a terible mistake, dear,” said the wife of the Rev. W. G. Gyeville bravely to her husband, who, in reeponse to an urgent call on the morning of July 24, had hurried to the hospital at Manly, -Sydney, where he found her an inmate suffering severely front burns, which afterwards proved fatal. “I put methylated spirits on my hair, and when later, I struck a match, my hair all bktzed up.” It was Mrs Greville’s custom to put methylated spirits on her hair after washing to guard against cold. • A verdict of accidental death was returned at the inquest.
