AUCKLAND, This Day. The English League team defeated Auckland by 28 to .13. In the first spell the visitors attacked strongly and piled up a number of tries, which made the score at half time 20 to 5. In the second half the local men picked their form and strenuous play saw each side add eight points. The attendance was 7000. The ground was rather soft.
